Pickleball is now the fastest-growing sport in America, and it's tons of fun! Two lessons are all you need to possess the basic skills, rules, and terminology that will enable you to enjoy a full game of pickleball on your own!! We cap the lessons at 4 peoplein order to provide you with as much one-on-one attention as possible. Small groups enable the instructors to answer questions as they arise. No experience needed to participate. At the end of the season we hold a pickleball palooza for all of the graduates! Please note we do not have access to refrigeration at the sites make sure your child has a cooler lunch box with ice pack.  Child absence?If you know that your child is going to be out for an extended period of time, please notify the supervisor of your site. Rising Stars Baseball Camp Ages 8 – 12  Join Billy Rich—Head Coach of the State Champion Lyman Hall High School baseball team, former UConn baseball standout, and former professional baseball player—for four days at the Rising Stars Baseball Camp. This camp is designed for players of all skill levels, ages 8–12, and focuses on player development through fun, engaging instruction in the fundamentals of baseball. Camp participants will receive high-quality coaching in infield and outfield defense, throwing and hitting mechanics, base running, and situational play. Instruction is delivered in small group settings from qualified instructors. Each day concludes with a fun and competitive activity to reinforce skills and foster a love for the game. Please note we do not have access to refrigeration at the sites make sure your child has a cooler lunch box with ice pack.  Child absence?If you know that your child is going to be out for an extended period of time, please notify the supervisor of your site. If you have an unplanned day off, please notify the Park and Rec. office at 203 294-2120. What if I have a problem?If you or your child has a problem, contact the site supervisor(s) first.  They are on site and can probably find a solution to the problem immediately.  If further assistance is needed, contact the Recreation Department. This camp is designed for players of all skill levels, ages 8–12, and focuses on player development through fun, engaging instruction in the fundamentals of baseball. Camp participants will receive high-quality coaching in infield and outfield defense, throwing and hitting mechanics, base running, and situational play. Instruction is delivered in small group settings from qualified instructors. Each day concludes with a fun and competitive activity to reinforce skills and foster a love for the game.
